In the meantime, i'm jobhunting for the 3rd time in 12 months - the company I was working for went into liquidation before the store officially opened. The recession just gets worse for a lot of us, eh?
This means i've got plenty of time to play with the camera, play on the xbox, do some weights/punchbag/road cycling and on top of that i'm learning to drive. It's about time I got a license for four wheels! As well as this, I might have the chance to shoot the racing from in front of the fences this coming season, but it's only a slight possibility so i'm not holding my breath...
As you can see from my last couple of shots, i've bought a light tent (about a tenner on fleabay) and made a ringflash adapter for my flash unit. I'll be experimenting with some more macro/flash/still life. Ideally I could do with the 105mm Sigma macro to really sort out the macro shots, but you could guess that I can't pull almost £200 from behind the sofa right now...
Anyway, enough of my sorrows. I hope the festive period was kind to you all and that 2009 will bring you plenty of luck and inspiration in equal measures.

Though all else fails...Chuck Norris wont.
then i'd look at these: [link]
the money you've saved not buying a nikon unit, you can get one of these and set up a small tripod off camera and get awesome shots like this guy's: [link]
only a suggestion, of course, but i'm looking to buy a tranny and receiver sometime soon to get some shots like that.
check out the rest of ruincircle's gallery too - he's pretty damn good.

Im guessing the remotes are for having if your flashgun was set to side? And you can use any type of flash with it? I think that would be really cool! His pics are amazing!
Thanks again.

An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.
Next year i'm going to the island, whether it's the TT or Southern 100. I'll book earlier and i'll hopefully be a bit more fluid next year!
