2009 so far...
So, it's been an interesting year, with HM Plant's dodgy brakes, Casey's fatigue sickness and a Texan fella with big elbows taking it to Nori. Nevermind all the action in the TT, Ulster, NW200, Oliver's Mount and all the other smaller Irish circuits, plus Bradley Smith, Cal Crutchlow and Norge, Alastair Seeley, Plater and so many other players in the world of bike sports.
As for my year, well, i've managed to shoot most of the aforementioned riders and met quite a few, albeit briefly, but you get a good impression of what these guys (and girls) are like.
I've started submitting my work to Motorbike Sport, so you'll see mine and another 'tog
2009... What's in store?
OK, so 2008 was a bit of a soggy tissue, so to speak. Looking on the bright side i've got a 1Dmkii, old style black Macbook and got the chance to shoot Elton John (not like that...) and saw a shedload of bike racing.
In the meantime, i'm jobhunting for the 3rd time in 12 months - the company I was working for went into liquidation before the store officially opened. The recession just gets worse for a lot of us, eh?
This means i've got plenty of time to play with the camera, play on the xbox, do some weights/punchbag/road cycling and on top of that i'm learning to drive. It's about time I got a license for four wheels! As well as this, I mi
current occurrences...
Not much going on lately. My computer decided to corrupt my memory card's files from Snetterton BSB so i wasn't best pleased with that. But shit happens as they say.
I've got Elton John to shoot when he plays the Keepmoat Stadium next month and a few gigs coming up but it's pretty quiet lately.
Apart from that - i'm buying a macbook, either the top 13" or the cheapest pro model. Or a 1D mkII, as i've spotted one of those at £900...
Decisions, decisions, eh?
latest moanings...
So it's been a while and there's still no bike racing. Not long though... I've been trying to keep myself busy with the mag and life in general. Actually done a couple of gig reviews and an interview with Ponte Carlo's own Above Them who sound like good music sounded in the late 90's. And they're a good set of lads, which makes it much easier to like them.
It was brought to my attention by ~crisvsv (https://www.deviantart.com/crisvsv) that one of my shots got blown-up banner-size and got hung over a track in Turkey to honour the rider in question. You can see the banner over the track as Sofu rides the circuit in From Banner To Reality. I'm not sure if i should be honoured
